Wise Eating:
reimagining how we nourish ourselves

Wise Eating is a practical, progressive and powerful approach to transforming our relationship to food and our connection to our body.   We use our most basic need to eat - at least a few times a day - as an opportunity to develop a daily practice that supports our health, energy and vitality.   We develop and practice mindfulness skills for coming back into our bodies, trusting our feelings and exploring our hunger(s), passion and desires.  We review and demystify the latest in nutritional and environmental science and learn about what to eat, when and why.  Then we learn about how to balance that outer wisdom with our own inner knowing.

Wise Eating is a subtle, non-linear process that can transform constricting patterns and behaviours into nourishing practices that encourage balance and health.  When the body and emotions are balanced, we can better hear and trust our own inner voice, our spirit.   When we begin to properly nourish our bodies, an amazing transformation takes place and we begin to discover ways to nourish all parts of ourselves.

Facilitators:

Victoria Pawlowski, RD, MEd., is a psycho-nutritional therapist, nutritionist and health educator with a special interest in mindful eating and developmental skills training. She brings a deep curiosity and passion to her transformative, collaborative work with women.

Nancy Bothwell, RD, Ed.D candidate, is a family therapist and nutritionist trained in gestalt, solution focused, and narrative therapy.  Nancy has an amazing capacity to be present with herself and her clients and works hard to cultivate response-ability.

Victoria and Nancy have collaborated intensely for the past four years, deconstructing, co-creating and winding their way around the question of self-nourishment and healing.
